NOTICE:  Today’s flyover has been pushed back two hours to 2:21 p.m. at Hot Springs.

At 12:21 2:21 p.m. on Friday, May 8, the men and women of the Little Rock Air Force Base (AFB), on behalf of the United States Air Force, will conduct a flyover at National Park Medical Center and CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs to honor the healthcare professionals and essential workers during this COVID-19 pandemic.

“For more than 65 years, Little Rock AFB has remained a national security asset, in large measure because of the outstanding community support,” said Col. John M. Schutte of the United States Air Force. “Our airmen, and our nation, are facing an unprecedented challenge in our lifetime. While we continue to safeguard our nation’s freedom, it is our healthcare professionals and essential workers that are on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19.”

Schutte invites all healthcare and essential workers “to witness this historic moment as we salute them for their selfless service. We also recognize the sacrifices all Americans are making during this time and invite all members of the community to observe this event. I urge community members to safely view this event from their homes and avoid large groups.”
